I thought high school was over?

Sometimes I think work is just high school grown up. I honestly feel like the only adult in a sea of 40 something co-workers. I have recently been promoted to nurse manager of the clinic I am at. Lets just say the clinic I am at was in big trouble with various issues before I got there and a lot of crap has been dumped for me to clean up. While the clinic is improving, my relationships with my coworkers struggle a bit. What happened to our Grandparent's generation of of suck it up and do the work? I love the Patient Care Techs that I work with but that being aside, they drive me crazy!!!!! You try to be fair, you split work evenly, you accommodate and nothing. All I get is complaints what makes one happy pisses off another. JUST SHUT UP AND DO THE JOB!!!

New York to L.A....ahhh shucks!

Yes, yes I know he's not going off the air, Conan will be taking over The Tonight Show in June. But I can't help but feel a little sad. We have watched Late night with Conan O'Brien forgoing Letterman and Leno for the most part since we've been married. We love him. His sense of humor coincides nicely with the hour it airs in which almost anything goofy makes you laugh, but on the rare occasion I have taped it and watched it later, he still cracks me up. I just hope his move from east to west coast doesn't mean a total 180 from the late night show we have come to like so much. 3 more shows of Late night With Conan O'Brien left, catch them if you can. If you don't we are now stuck with Colin Farrell....Boo.

Irony

IVF a go! I find it ironic that our IVF journey starts with me having to be on birth control pills for a few weeks, which I start tomorrow! I think of all the birth control pills I took the first year we were married and it makes me laugh. Really, if I had known it would have saved me a lot of time, stress, and a little money. Anyhow! This is the first step in our IVF cycle, so I guess...yep, we are underway. Can't wait!
